Why thinking outside the box
is so important
A couple of days ago I was teaching a double class: Reiki (energy healing technique) and Fire Hands (Curanderismo healing technique). I told my students to be creative.
In our tradition Curanderismo or Mexican Shamanism, everything is considered to have “spirit”, to be alive. With that in mind everything that is around us “is alive” and can benefit from a healing.
I explained to my students how I do Reiki and Fire Hands to my car, computer, phone, wallet, etc.
A couple of days later I received a message from a student saying that her toilet wouldn’t flush. After trying so many times to flush it she decided to do Reiki and Fire Hands to the toilet. Still it didn’t work, so she decided to go a buy a plunger. On her way to the store her mom called her to tell her that the toilet was working. This is a perfect example of why THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX is so important. Spiritual practices are meant to be used in everyday life situations. We can “fix” and “heal” our life when we go beyond the traditional limits of our mind.
I encourage you to be creative
